What HonestTailor is

HonestTailor analyzes your resume against a job description and gives you a match score, keyword analysis, and rewrite suggestions. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your account

• You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• One account per person. Don't share accounts or create multiple accounts to get around free-tier limits.

Free tier and subscriptions

• The free tier includes a limited number of scans. Pro is a paid subscription (billed monthly or quarterly through Stripe) that unlocks the full feature set shown on the pricing page.
• Cancel anytime.Cancelling stops future billing; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Payments are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law. If something went wrong with your purchase, contact us — we're reasonable people.
• Prices may change; we'll give existing subscribers notice before a change affects them.

AI suggestions — no guarantees

• Scores and rewrites are AI-generated suggestions, not professional career advice. They may contain mistakes. Review everything before using it.
• We design the product to avoid inventing experience you don't have, but you are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of any resume you send to an employer.
• We don't guarantee interviews, offers, or any particular outcome from using the service.

Your content

Your resume and job descriptions remain yours. You give us permission to process and store them solely to provide the service (see the privacy policy). We don't sell your content or use it to train AI models. Only submit content you have the right to use — don't upload someone else's personal information without their permission.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to break the service;
• use automated tools to access the service or circumvent rate limits or paywalls;
• submit unlawful content or use the service for anything illegal;
• resell or white-label the service without our agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is"without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect damages — lost opportunities, lost profits, or lost data.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the "last updated" date above will change and continued use means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case active subscribers will receive a prorated refund for unused time.
